Everything that has happened was bound to happen. You can feel the tension in the school. But we (blacks) are only trying to protect ourselves. The Mexicans are trying to run us out of this school. They think it’s like that movie “American Me.” They think they own this school. But we’re not going to take it. We’re not going to be pushed around. It’s not safe around here. I’m scared. They (school officials) need to get more security.
