DANA POINT : Hearing Scheduled on Water Rate Hike

Share

A public hearing will be held tonight on a proposed rate increase in the Capistrano Beach County Water District, which serves about 8,000 residences in Capistrano Beach and parts of Dana Point and San Clemente.

Under the proposed increase, the average water bill would go up $7 to about $28 every two months, district officials said. An increase is needed to help cover higher wholesale water costs and to pay for general operations, according to the district.

The public hearing will be held in Room B at the Capistrano Bay Park and Recreation District community center at 34052 Del Obispo St. in Dana Point.
