LANCASTER : Airfield Restaurant to Lose Its Lease
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday authorized the county Public Works Department to terminate a restaurant lease contract at William J. Fox Airfield in Lancaster.
According to county staff workers, the tenants--Eugene and Melody Personette--have not paid their rent since March and have allowed their insurance policy to lapse. The Personettes claim that they have been harassed by the county’s contract manager. The tenants had a five-year lease, which expired at the end of September. The county notified them Aug. 1 to pay all their back rent or vacate the property.
