Claremont : Hazardous Waste Plan
The City Council moved Tuesday to include a hazardous waste management plan as part of the city’s general safety strategy.
The council voted 5 to 0 to amend its General Plan to address the issue. The amendment is in response to state legislation that requires each county to develop plans to deal with hazardous waste locally through expansion of waste treatment facilities and the creation of new facilities.
