Long Beach : Doctors Treat Councilman Robbins for Leg Blood Clot

City Councilman Les Robbins will be in Long Beach Memorial Medical Center until at least the end of the week while doctors work to dissolve a blood clot in his right calf.
Robbins, the 5th District councilman in Long Beach and a county sheriff’s sergeant, was admitted to the hospital Friday after his leg became swollen and painful.
Robbins is taking two kinds of medication to thin his blood and expects to take at least another week off to recover.
