The Food at Taix
Who ever allowed Michelle Huneven to step into one of the few reasonable, traditional dining institutions left in the downtown Los Angeles area (“Taix: Old Enough to Know Better,” Nov. 6)?
Les Freres Taix is simply not a trendy (read expensive, small portions, tight seating) West Side restaurant. The food is plentiful, wholesome and well balanced. I dine there for lunch once a week, on average, and therefore consider it like dining at home. I actually like the atmosphere and congeniality at Taix--it’s comfortable.
Please Michelle, confine your reviews to West Side/Beverly Hills establishments and leave places like Taix alone, so real people can eat real food at real prices.
