Cedric Ceballos scored 13 of his 30 points in the third quarter, helping the Phoenix Suns defeat the Sacramento Kings, 127-111, Wednesday night for their fourth consecutive victory.

Ceballos, a third-year forward, also matched his personal best with 13 rebounds. Tom Chambers added 20 points for the Suns, and rookie center Oliver Miller had 19.

Charles Barkley, the NBA’s fourth-leading scorer with a 26.2-point average for the first five games, played only 26 minutes and had 10 points, his low with Phoenix, while watching reserves play the last quarter.

Randy Brown led the Kings with 18 points, and Wayman Tisdale and Pete Chilcutt added 15 each.

Orlando 120, Philadelphia 110--Shaquille O’Neal had 29 points and 19 rebounds, leading the first-place Magic at Philadelphia. Nick Anderson scored 23 points and Scott Skiles 19 for Orlando, which finished 21-61 last season without O’Neal, but improved to 4-2 as its rookie 7-foot-1 center has been impressive.

“Shaquille O’Neal is a terrific and dominant player,” said Doug Moe, 76er coach.

O’Neal, averaging 25.8 points and 16.4 rebounds coming into the game, sparked a third-quarter surge with 13 points and six rebounds as Orlando opened its biggest lead, 79-58, on a jump shot by Jeff Turner with 4:19 to play.

Hersey Hawkins had a season-high 32 for Philadelphia.

Utah 92, Boston 91--After five seasons in New Orleans and 13 in Utah, the Jazz finally won its first game in Boston Garden.

“It’s been really frustrating coming in here and not getting wins,” said Karl Malone, who led the Jazz with 29 points. “Coming in here and getting close but not close enough.”

Utah won when Reggie Lewis missed two jump shots in the last 15 seconds. The Jazz ended an 18-year, 21-game losing streak at the Garden with its fourth consecutive road victory. Boston lost its fourth in a row, falling to 2-6.

“The guys worked hard and the intensity was there,” Boston Coach Chris Ford said. “But we don’t have a lot of room for error.”
