Pepperdine Opens Against Lafayette
Pepperdine unveils its 1992-93 basketball team with an exhibition game against the Lafayette Hustlers tonight at 7:45 at Firestone Fieldhouse in Malibu.
Pepperdine, which returns five of its top eight players, finished 24-7 last season and has reached the NCAA playoffs the past two seasons. The game is the first of two exhibitions for the Waves, who play host to the Russian Select team at 2 p.m. Monday.
The Hustlers, an Indiana-based AAU touring team that consists of former college players, lost to Ohio State, 86-83, Tuesday.
