PORT HUENEME : Council to Consider Condemning Lots
- Share via
The Port Hueneme City Council will hold a special meeting today to decide whether to proceed with condemnation of several small lots abutting the city’s proposed recreational vehicle resort.
Condemnation is necessary because the owners do not agree with city officials who contend that their property is virtually worthless because it cannot be developed for private use, said Tom Figg, director of community development.
The five lots comprise 10,000 square feet and are in the vicinity of the proposed site of the 143-space park that the city wants to build on the southeast end of Hueneme Beach, he said. The meeting will begin at 3 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, 250 N. Ventura Road.
