Carson 28, Lincoln 24--Overcoming 254 yards in penalties, four turnovers and a 10-0 first-quarter deficit, Carson advanced to the second round of the 4-A Division playoffs with a victory over Lincoln at Wilson High.
The Tigers threatened to pull off an upset late in the fourth quarter with a drive to the Carson seven-yard line, but four consecutive passes resulted in no yards gained and Carson took over on downs.
Colt quarterback Jaime Sander completed 10 of 22 passes for 196 yards. Carson held Lincoln to minus-four yards rushing, but Tiger quarterback Gerardo Roman passed for 174 yards and two touchdowns.
