The Artists’ Studio Gallery at The Shops...

The Artists’ Studio Gallery at The Shops at Palos Verdes will take a break from its year-round schedule of exhibits and open its doors for holiday shoppers beginning tomorrow .

The six-week show at the Studio Gallery is part art exhibit, part retail outlet where many of the 30-plus members of the Palos Verdes Art Center’s Studio Gallery will offer their artwork for sale.

Dubbed “Art Is a Gift,” the show will feature paintings and sculpture with a distinctly Southern California theme created by several local artists

Between Nov. 23 and Jan. 3 many of the gallery’s members will share the gallery to display and offer their art for sale.

The price of the works will range from $50 to $2,000. Profits go directly to the artists. Sales will also indirectly help support the Palos Verdes Art Center, a nonprofit community organization.

The Art Center receives its revenues through rent paid by the gallery to the Art Center and fees paid by the artists to display their work.

Last year, the two Artists’ Studio Galleries at The Shops and at the Art Center contributed $11,000 toward the Art Center’s operating expenses and exhibition endowment fund.
