Ventura County sheriff’s deputies arrested three men on suspicion of burglary after they allegedly broke into a vehicle parked behind a Camarillo bar and led officers on a brief foot chase across the Ventura Freeway.

Mark Allen, 23, of San Fernando, Natividad Palomera, 23, of Northridge and Robert Melendez, 19, of Tarzana were arrested at 12:10 a.m. Friday after deputies spotted the three and a fourth unidentified man breaking into a car parked behind the Lamplighter bar in the 1900 block of Ventura Boulevard.

The fourth suspect is still being sought.

The four men ran when deputies approached, leading them onto the northbound lanes of the freeway. Allen, who allegedly damaged a sheriff’s car by kicking the doors, appeared to be under the influence of drugs, a deputy’s report said.
