ADIOS, TURKEYS: Until about 30 years ago, Orange County farmers were in the turkey-raising business, but “the numbers went down as more land in the county started being developed,” says Orange County Assistant Agriculture Commissioner John Ellis. . . . Ellis knows of no county farmer who now grows turkeys on a mass-production basis.
