The Region : Air Quality Panel Formed

Sixteen San Gabriel Valley cities have banded together to create a plan to deal with regional air quality issues and, on Tuesday and Wednesday in Arcadia, the public will have a chance to review highlights of a draft of the proposal.

The West San Gabriel Valley Planning Council, made up of planning staffs and elected officials from the 16 cities, have been developing the plan in response to air quality regulations. Identical community workshops will be held both nights starting at 7 at the Arcadia Community Center, 365 Campus Drive.

The cities in the consortium are Alhambra, Arcadia, Duarte, El Monte, Glendale, La Canada Flintridge, Monrovia, Monterey Park, Pasadena, Rosemead, San Gabriel, San Marino, Sierra Madre, South El Monte, South Pasadena and Temple City.
