Stevens’ Civic Duty
Unbelievable! San Diego Councilman George Stevens (4th District) rants and whines about the process of appointing chairmen for the council’s committees. This is the same George Stevens who has broken nearly every rule of decorum during council meetings, berated his fellow council members with specious and personal attacks, and showed the incredibly poor judgment of campaigning for the wrong candidate in the mayor’s race. And, of course, it’s racism according to George!
Let me introduce you to the real world, Mr. Stevens: In THIS forum, you are ultimately accountable for your every action. You may get by with bluster in your district, but not on the City Council. If you want to benefit from the rules, you have to play by the rules.
You are a servant of the people of the 4th District, charged with bettering the lives of your constituency, not making a fool of yourself and their choice of councilman.
