ROGER’S DAY: The Board of Supervisors this week expects to finalize a plan to have most county offices close down every other Friday. . . . But now county numbers crunchers have cut their projected cost savings by nearly half--to $1.1 million--since the board signed off on the concept in August. Chairman Roger R. Stanton, the lone opponent, is doubtful the new schedule will save even that much. “I’m certainly not going to support this--it’s worse than before,” he says. “It’s disappointing when something like this comes out of a professional staff.”
