ABT Changes Repertory for Center Run

COSTA MESA — American Ballet Theatre has announced repertory for its Jan. 19-24 engagement at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa that is different from the repertory originally announced.
Fokine’s “Firebird” and Ulysses Dove’s “Serious Pleasures” are being replaced by Ashton’s “Symphonic Variations” and Harold Lander’s “Etudes.” Center officials said refunds will be offered those who want them ((714) 556-2121).
The programs will include “Giselle,” Tetley’s “The Rite of Spring” and “Voluntaries,” and the West Coast premiere of Anges de Mille’s “The Other” as announced. The changes were made by Kevin McKenzie, ABT’s newly-appointed artistic director, according to a spokesman for the center. The new schedule:
Jan. 19 and 20, 8 p.m.: “Etudes” (Lander/Czerny-Riisager); “The Other” (De Mille/Schubert); “The Rite of Spring” (Tetley/Stravinsky).
Jan. 21 and 22, 8 p.m.: “Symphonic Variations” (Ashton/Franck); “The Other”; “Voluntaries” (Tetley/Poulenc).
Jan. 23, 2 and 8 p.m.; Jan. 24, 2 and 7:30 p.m.: “Giselle.”
Tickets: $14 to $48.
