Burns Loses Ground in PGA Tour Qualifying Event

Bob Burns, a former NCAA Division II golf champion who attended Cal State Northridge, was among a group of seven tied for 59th at two-over-par 362 after 90 holes of the 108-hole PGA Tour Qualifying tournament at The Woodlands in Texas.
Burns staggered to a five-over 77 on Wednesday after shooting three-under for the previous four rounds.
Neale Smith is the leader at nine-under 351.
The top 40 finishers (including ties) qualify for the 1993 PGA Tour. Burns is three strokes out of the top 40.
