Barbara Cohen; Author of ‘Molly’s Pilgrim,’ Other Children’s Books

Barbara Cohen, 60, the award-winning author of more than 30 children’s books. Cohen is perhaps best known for “Molly’s Pilgrim,” the story of a Jewish immigrant girl who helps her third-grade class understand the meaning of Thanksgiving. The book was made into a movie that won an Academy Award for best short film in 1986. A sequel to the book, “Make a Wish Molly,” has yet to be released. On Sunday in Bridgewater, N.J., of cancer.
