The Scouts’ Oath, God and the Almighty Dollar

Share

I see that Anaheim attorney James G. Randall has now initiated a lawsuit against the Girl Scouts.

He says he is seeking damages for a girl required to recite an oath to God, and this time he is quoted as saying: “I’m after their pocketbooks.”

In making a name for himself by way of this oft-publicized case on behalf of his twin sons and claiming he is going for their pocketbooks this time--who would have guessed it--the almighty dollar says “In God We Trust” on the back!

In a state with so many lawyers, each must vie for the few available spaces of success with almost each case expounding on the catchword “discrimination.” It now affects even the youngest children.

I believe (that) in attacking the Scouting organization in such fashion--the ideals of family, community service and religious beliefs--Mr. Randall is making our kids all children of a lesser society dominated by huge egos.
