Riddick Bowe’s manager and a member of his camp will face a Nevada State Athletic Commission disciplinary hearing for allegedly assaulting a photographer after Bowe dethroned Evander Holyfield for the heavyweight crown on Nov. 13 in Las Vegas.

The World Boxing Council has repeated its threat to strip Bowe of his championship unless he agrees to make his first defense against challenger Lennox Lewis. Bowe’s handlers have said he might fight an unidentified opponent on the Fox television network during halftime of the Super Bowl on Jan. 31.

Douglas Pizac, a photographer for the Associated Press, said he suffered a 12-stitch cut and other injuries when Rock Newman, Bowe’s manager, allegedly stepped on his shoulders and head en route to the ring after the final round of the fight. Bernard Brooks Jr. also allegedly struck the photographer.
