Jeanne Hutchings; Philanthropist

Jeanne Wilbur Maroney Hutchings, 76, a philanthropist and playwright who also wrote for such pioneer companies as Tee-Vee Film, an early source of television programming, has died.

The author of the play “Shoes for Sarah” which was produced on TV, died Dec. 4 in Newport Beach.

She was the widow of Frank Hutchings, whose family founded the Mission Inn in Riverside, and previously was married to Roland Maroney, a Los Angeles property investor.

Her civic causes included the Assistance League and membership in support groups for hospitals and churches in Orange County.
