Share

On Christmas Day, a free turkey dinner will be offered to homeless, hungry or elderly citizens at the Garden Grove United Methodist Church, 12741 Main St. The fifth annual dinner is being hosted by Real Help of Garden Grove, a coalition of churches and social agencies. Besides turkey and trimmings, Real Help also gives its guests a variety of holiday gifts.

Organizers are still seeking children’s toys as well as new blankets, disposable razors, toothbrushes and gift certificates redeemable at grocery stores or fast-food restaurants. Financial contributions are also accepted.

Volunteers are needed on Dec. 23 at 1:30 p.m to help prepare for the Christmas dinner. Some help may still be needed on Christmas Day from 1 to 6 p.m.
