The Williams Renault Formula One team will announce today its replacement for world champion Nigel Mansell for next year’s Grand Prix races.
British driver Damon Hill, the 30-year-old son of two-time Formule One champion Graham Hill, is said to be the favorite after serving as Williams’ official test driver for the past two years.
Mansell quit to join the Haas-Newman IndyCar team.
