VAN NUYS : Carroll to Return to Head D. A.’s Office
Ronald H. (Mike) Carroll, who headed the Los Angeles County district attorney’s Van Nuys branch office from 1983 to 1987, has been reappointed to the post by newly elected Dist. Atty. Gil Garcetti.
Donald N. Eastman, who has supervised the Van Nuys office for 2 1/2 years, has been reassigned as one of four head deputies in the downtown Central Operations Bureau.
Since leaving the Van Nuys office, Carroll has been head deputy in the Santa Monica office.
Both Carroll and Eastman said Tuesday that they have been ordered to report to their new posts Jan. 4.
The Van Nuys office, with 38 lawyers, prosecutes felony crimes in the southern half of the San Fernando Valley.
