Downey Fan Club Is Called to Order
I thoroughly agree with Mike Downey (Dec. 13) that Sedale Threatt has been a most pleasant surprise for Laker fans and a prime candidate for the All-Star game in Utah. But I must inform Mike that Sedale is not the lowest draft choice (139th player taken in 1983) playing in the NBA. That honor belongs to the Warriors’ Ed Nealy, who was selected in the eighth round in 1982 as the 166th player taken overall. Mike, you were Nealy correct.
