OFF THE WALL: Lynn Hill, one of the world’s top rock climbers, is home for the holidays. Hill, who grew up in Fullerton but now lives in France, will be in Irvine on Monday for a public reception and climbing demonstration at the Sporting Club at Lakeshore Towers. . . . Earlier this month she took first place in Birmingham, England, in the sport’s World Cup finals, “maybe the most prestigious single event of the year,” says Alison Osius, senior editor of Climbing magazine.
