Motorist Killed in 405 Freeway Crash
FOUNTAIN VALLEY —
An unidentified driver was fatally hurt Monday night on the northbound San Diego Freeway after running into a car that had been abandoned in the middle of the roadway.
The freeway was closed as a medical helicopter landed to take the victim to a hospital.
The crash occurred at 10 p.m. near the Brookhurst Street intersection.
The name of the victim was not immediately known, nor was the name of the person who abandoned the car in the freeway.
No other cars were involved in the accident.
