Rams Will Play Seven Playoff Teams Next Season; Raiders Will Play Six

It will not get any easier next season for the Rams, whose 1993 schedule includes seven of 16 games against teams that qualified for this season’s playoffs. The Raiders will face six playoff teams, according to tentative schedules announced by the NFL.

Besides the normal home-and-home series against the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers, the Rams will host the playoff-bound Washington Redskins and Pittsburgh Steelers, and visit the Houston Oilers.

Other teams that will visit Anaheim Stadium include the Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns.

Other away games for the Rams besides Houston include visits to Atlanta, the New York Giants, the Green Bay Packers, the Phoenix Cardinals and the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Raiders, besides playing home-and-home series with West Division rivals Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos, San Diego Chargers and Seattle Seahawks, will play host to the New York Jets, Cleveland, Green Bay and Chicago.

The Raiders road schedule also includes visits to the Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cincinnati.
