An Amtrak train derailed Wednesday night just north of the Michigan-Indiana border, causing all four passenger coaches to overturn, authorities said. Seven passengers were slightly injured.

The Pere Marquette, en route from Chicago to Grand Rapids, went off the track and overturned after a rail split, witnesses at the scene said. Amtrak spokesman Clifford Black said more than 200 people were on board.
