BETTER FUTURE? Family activists don’t expect the next Administration to pull off miracles, but they’re excited that Bill and Hillary Clinton consider family issues a priority (E1). . . . “I see great hope for the future,” says Mary Douglas, executive director of the YWCA in Santa Ana. “Truth is, things are so bad there’s nowhere to go but up.
