VAN NUYS : Students to Mount Skit at Inauguration

A group of drama students and alumni from Van Nuys High School has been invited to perform an original skit about the Los Angeles riots at the inauguration of President-elect Bill Clinton later this month in Washington.

The performers, who range in age from 15 to 20, were invited to present “One Day in L. A.” during the inaugural festivities after being spotted last month on a telecast produced by The Walt Disney Co. The telecast honored Van Nuys High drama instructor Robin Share as one of the nation’s top 36 teachers.

The 16 youths are all past and present students of Share, who wrote “One Day in L. A.” The seven-minute vignette will be performed the day before the Jan. 20 inauguration as part of “Celebration for Youth,” an event publicist said.
