CLASS ACTION: King’s name doesn’t grace a single Orange County street, park, hospital or school. But that soon will change with the new Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in Santa Ana. . . . Construction is expected to begin this year. Its name was overwhelmingly approved by area residents in 1988, when King beat out four other notable Americans suggested by the city--including Harry S. Truman. . . . “We received 586 responses, of which 573 were votes for King,” says a spokeswoman.
