Two men were killed in a drive-by shooting early Sunday in Highland Park, and police said investigators have no suspects and no leads.

Roy White, 20, of Highland Park and Raul Olivares, 36, of Paramount were standing on the corner of Avenue 55 and Figueroa Street at about 2:30 a.m. when the fatal shots were fired from a passing car, police said.

“All that we have now is that two people were shot,” said Los Angeles Police Detective Jose Carrilo.

Olivares died at the scene, and White died shortly afterward at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, police said.

In another part of Los Angeles at about the same time, two men and a teen-age boy were wounded when gunfire broke out in the parking lot of the Quick and Split fast-food restaurant in the 3400 block of Slauson Avenue.

A security guard at the restaurant was one of those wounded, police said. All three victims were taken to Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital in Inglewood where they underwent surgery Sunday, investigators said. Their identities were not immediately available.

“It’s possibly gang-related,” said Detective Robert Prytz.
