Billy Sample, who played for the Texas Rangers, New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves during an eight-year career, has signed a three-year contract with KMPC to broadcast Angel games. Sample will be the No. 2 announcer with Bob Starr, said Bill Ward, general manager of KMPC. Sample has most recently broadcast games for ESPN and CBS radio.
