WOODLAND HILLS : Council Finances Hillside Repairs
- Share via
The Los Angeles City Council on Friday approved emergency appropriations of $600,000 to repair rain-damaged hillsides threatening streets in Woodland Hills and along Mulholland Highway.
At Councilman Marvin Braude’s request, the council voted to provide $300,000 to repair Mulholland Drive east of Coldwater Canyon Drive, and $40,000 for repairs to Mulholland Drive at Laurel Pass Road, both east of the San Diego freeway.
Another $60,000 was set aside for repairs to Upper Mesa Road, north of Amalfi Drive in the Santa Monica Canyon, and $200,000 for the 22200 block of Buenaventura Street in Woodland Hills. Buenaventura Street was damaged during rainstorms when pressure from mud ruptured the pavement.
