Bad Deal for Calabasas
The city of Calabasas seems to be at a loss on how to proceed with the Micor project, now that it has been overturned in court.
I suggest they go back and read their own cityhood campaign literature. I do not recall that the residents of Calabasas voted to incorporate in order to triple the density of housing and turn pristine canyons into luxury enclaves by grading millions of cubic yards of earth.
I thought that’s what they wanted to avoid.
Citizens should monitor the Calabasas General Plan process very carefully, for the City Council seems bent on imposing this environmentally disastrous project on the community. Instead, they should be grateful that the judge has released them from a very bad deal.
