Cory Alexander scored five of his 26 points in overtime Monday night as Virginia defeated William & Mary, 93-84, at Williamsburg, Va., to end a two-game losing streak.

The victory was the first for the No. 15 Cavaliers (12-2) since they upset Duke Jan. 17 to extend their winning streak to 16 games.

Kurt Small scored 27 points for William & Mary (9-6), which overcame a 23-point deficit in the last 13 1/2 minutes of regulation.
