Time Warner Plans ‘Electronic Superhighway’: Time Warner will install the system near Orlando that will give cable subscribers unlimited choices in video, shopping and telecommunications services. The media and entertainment giant said the system will be ready for demonstration at the end of the year and initially be available early in 1994 to about 4,000 of its cable customers in central Florida. Subscribers will be able to watch movies, shop from home, place long-distance calls and play video games against other people on the system. The company will employ fiber-optic and digital technology.
