Knife-Wielding Man Surrenders

Share

Police ended a four-hour standoff early Saturday morning by disarming a 26-year-old knife-wielding man who refused to leave his house.

Police said they were called to 5161 Lolina Lane shortly after midnight because Manfred Hagedorn allegedly had been drinking and arguing with his mother, Crystal Hagedorn, 46. When officers arrived, Manfred Hagedorn brandished two large knives and refused to come out, police said. About four hours later he was persuaded to surrender, officers said.

The man was taken to an unidentified psychiatric hospital for medical evaluation. No charges were filed and no one was injured in the incident, police said.
