Malone Accused of Threatening Ex-Wife
Milwaukee Buck center Moses Malone was released on bond Saturday after being arrested in Galveston, Tex., for allegedly threatening to kill his former wife.
A warrant had been issued for Malone’s arrest after Alfreda Malone alleged in a Jan. 22 affidavit that he had threatened to kill her. She told a justice of the peace that Malone had damaged her property, stalked her and illegally entered her home.
Alfreda Malone lives in League City, Tex., with the couple’s two children, Moses II, 12, and Michael, 8.
Divorced from Malone in October, Alfreda Malone is seeking a peace bond to keep her former husband from bothering her and her children. A hearing will be held in early February to decide on setting a peace bond. Under a peace bond arrangement, Malone would have to post a cash bond as a guarantee that he will observe the court’s rules about contacting his former wife.
