Parks’ arrest 37 years ago for refusing to surrender her bus seat to a white male passenger in Montgomery, Ala., triggered a wave of protests that reverberated throughout the country.

Parks will be introduced and honored at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center at 4 p.m. Sunday at 750 W. Lancaster Blvd. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for students.
