Business Picks Up for SES: Security Environmental Systems said Thursday that it has been awarded contracts for the pickup and disposal of hazardous waste at two U.S. government military installations in California. One contract is an expansion of a prior contract for the removal and disposal of hydrocarbon-contaminated soil at Camp Pendleton. The other is a potential two-year hazardous waste pickup and disposal contract at Port Hueneme, Point Mugu, Vandenberg Air Force Base and other affiliated installations. The value of this project is anticipated to be about $2.3 million the first year and $2.5 million the second year. Security Environmental operates from facilities in Garden Grove, Vernon and Long Beach.
