LANCASTER : College to Cut Library Hours
Antelope Valley College’s library will be open only four days a week starting Feb. 16 because of a partial hiring freeze, spurred by continuing problems with the state’s budget, and the recent resignations of two library staff members.
New operating hours for the library will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays; noon to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays.
Until Feb. 16, the library will continue to operate under its existing hours of 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday.
