Make That 0 for 224

Sorry to shatter Paula Poundstone’s illusions of “original stuff,” in reference to “Free Willy,” one of only two films she cited as being so (“1 Outta 224 Ain’t Bad,” Jan. 24).

This yet-to-be-released film, about a boy’s mission to return an aquatic park whale to the ocean, sounds very much like “Turtle Diary,” a small film starring Glenda Jackson, who has a mission to return an aquarium giant sea turtle to the ocean. I guess that leaves the “1 Outta 224.”
