An endowment to support environmental education programs in Orange County’s inner-city elementary schools has been established in memory of Kathleen Loretta Davis, former executive of the county chapter of the American Institute of Architects and executive director of the Architecture Foundation of Orange County. Davis died of cancer last month at age 60.
The programs--to be administered by the Architecture Foundation--were conceived by Davis as a way of exposing children to planning ideas and environmental awareness as an integral part of their primary education.
Contributions are invited by the Architecture Foundation, 3200 Park Center Drive, Suite 100, Costa Mesa, Calif., 92626 (please specify “Kathleen L. Davis, Hon. AIA Environmental Education Fund”). For more information, call the foundation at (714) 557-7796 or Ken Wittman at (714) 553-3301.
