Train Kills Man Walking on the Tracks

SANTA ANA — An unidentified man was killed Monday night when he was hit by a southbound Amtrak train while walking on the tracks near 17th Street, police said.
The victim, described as between 25 and 30 years old, was struck at about 6:35 p.m. and was either knocked or dragged about two blocks to the 1500 block of Lincoln Avenue where he was found, said a Santa Ana Fire Department spokesman.
Police found just a small amount of change in his pockets and no identification.
