In other action, the council allocated about $600,000 in federal funds to several city programs.

A home rehabilitation program and the La Fetra Senior Services Center will each receive about $200,000. A program to correct seismic code violations will receive about $174,000, with almost $27,000 going to administrative expenses.

The home rehabilitation program has provided interest-free deferred loans for home repairs to low- to moderate-income homeowners since 1974.
