Temple Beth El of South Orange County’s immediate past president, Cynthia O’Neill, has been elected to the board of directors of the Pacific Southwest Council of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations. The Pacific Southwest Council represents 72 Reform congregations. She will be installed Sunday at the Regional Biennial Convention in Costa Mesa.

Temple Beth El’s Rabbi Allen Krause was elected to the position of first vice president of the Pacific Assn. of Reform Rabbis.

On Friday, stained-glass artist David Plachte-Zuieback will be the guest speaker at the temple. The artist and his wife, Michelle, are both professional stained-glass artists and have developed designs for residences and public buildings. They not only teach a workshop for high school students at the Union of American Hebrew Congregations’ Camp Swig Institute for Living Judaism but also create Jewish ritual plates.
