CAMARILLO : Suspect Arrested After Bank Robbery
A 28-year-old Camarillo man has been arrested on suspicion of robbing a Bank of America branch minutes after the robbery occurred, authorities said.
Ventura County Sheriff’s Sgt. Bruce Norris said a masked man robbed the bank on the 5800 block of Santa Rosa Road a few minutes before 7 p.m. Friday.
Bank employees told officers they did not see any weapons on the robber, Norris said.
After the call about the robbery went out over police radio, deputies at the Camarillo sheriff’s station suspected they knew the man, he said.
“He was arrested in his vehicle driving by the location where they thought he would be found,” Norris said.
Deputies identified the suspect as Karl McMillin and said he is also a suspect in three other robberies.
